Our client is a mid-sized General Contractor that has a strong background with Institutional construction projects (Health-care, Higher-Ed, etc). They have a strong network of repeat business because of the results they deliver.

Job Description

Direct and oversee all field construction activities from project start through completion. Coordinate and manage all on-site work based on existing field conditions. Schedule and communicate work activities with subcontractors, vendors, and trade partners. Ensure project execution complies with contract documents, specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards. Lead and organize subcontractor coordination and progress meetings. Monitor project milestones and assist with schedule development and updates. Provide accurate and timely daily reports documenting project progress, workforce activity, safety observations, and site conditions. Support Request for Information (RFI) management by identifying issues, coordinating responses, and tracking resolution. Maintain proactive communication with project managers, owners, consultants, facility representatives, and subcontractors. Identify and resolve field issues to maintain project schedules and minimize disruptions. Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with applicable regulations and project-specific requirements. Foster a collaborative and professional jobsite environment.

The Successful Applicant

Minimum of 8+ years of experience as a Superintendent managing commercial construction projects. Required: Healthcare renovation experience within active/occupied healthcare facilities. Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors on complex renovation projects. Strong understanding of construction documents, specifications, schedules, and field operations. Experience managing projects in environments with stringent operational and safety requirements. Proficiency with daily reporting, schedule tracking, and project documentation. Experience supporting RFI processes and construction administration activities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work effectively with owners, design teams, subcontractors, and internal project teams. Strong references from Architects and General Contractors you have worked with.
