Roles and Responsibilities:
As a Superintendent, Grocery, you will play a critical role in leading our grocery operations to ensure outstanding performance and customer satisfaction. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing daily grocery operations, ensuring compliance with company standards and best practices.
- Collaborating with department managers to optimize inventory management and product placement.
- Leading and mentoring a diverse team, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Analyzing sales data and market trends to drive strategic decisions and improve profitability.
- Implementing initiatives that enhance the customer experience and promote community engagement.
- Ensuring adherence to safety and sanitation regulations while maintaining a welcoming environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day job-site operations and field personnel
• Coordinate subcontractors and ensure work aligns with project schedules
• Oversee construction of grocery stores and retail environments, including renovations and ground-up builds
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company safety standards
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure work meets plans and specifications
• Coordinate inspections and ensure milestone completion targets are met
• Maintain project documentation, daily logs, and progress reports
• Communicate with project management, clients, and subcontractors to resolve issues quickly

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction
• Grocery store or retail construction experience required
• Experience managing fast-paced remodels or open-store construction is a plus
• Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills
• Ability to maintain aggressive schedules and meet deadlines
• Ability to travel 100% of the time

Experience Level:
- Preferred experience level is 5 to 10 years in grocery management or a related field.
