Superintendent - K-12 Construction - Fairfax County, VAThe Superintendent - K-12 Construction - Fairfax County, VA will be responsible for:Manage all day-to-day field operations for commercial construction projects throughout Northern Virginia and the greater DC Metro region.Lead ground-up construction projects from mobilization through closeout, ensuring safety, quality, budget, and schedule objectives are achieved.Coordinate and communicate effectively with owners, project managers, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and inspectors.Review and interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents to ensure successful project execution.Conduct constructability reviews and proactively resolve field issues.Manage jobsite safety programs and maintain compliance with OSHA requirements and company standards.Oversee subcontractor scheduling, workforce coordination, and material procurement activities.Maintain project documentation, daily reports, quality control processes, and progress updates.Utilize construction management technologies including Procore, Bluebeam, BuildingConnected, and related platforms.Serve as the primary on-site leader, fostering strong client relationships and driving successful project outcomes.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.A successful Superintendent - K-12 Construction - Fairfax County, VA should have:5+ years of experience as a Superintendent with a commercial general contractor.Proven experience leading ground-up construction projects valued at $20M+.Ability to independently manage projects up to approximately $40M.Background in K-12, municipal, government, community, commercial, or similar project types preferred.Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, scheduling, quality control, and safety practices.OSHA 30-Hour Certification required.Experience coordinating project teams, subcontractors, and owners throughout the construction lifecycle.Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore and Bluebeam.Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.Must be located in or willing to work throughout Northern Virginia; candidates residing in Maryland near the Virginia border will also be considered.The Superintendent - K-12 Construction - Fairfax County, VA will receive:Competitive salary - $110,000 to $170,000.Company-wide bonus opportunities, vehicle allowance, 401(k) with 6% match, comprehensive health benefits, and generous PTO.Opportunity to lead high-profile ground-up projects ranging from $20M to $140M.Strong project backlog including schools, community centers, hospitality, government, and commercial developments.Family-owned company with over 75 years of industry success and fourth-generation leadership.Exceptional employee retention, with many team members building 20+ year careers within the organization.Interested?
