A leading multifamily and affordable housing developer focused on delivering high-quality residential communities throughout California. Due to continued growth and a robust development pipeline, they are seeking an experienced Lead Superintendent to oversee the field execution of large-scale multifamily projects.

This role is ideal for a proven construction leader with extensive experience delivering large-scale multifamily developments featuring modular construction and podium-style builds. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record leading projects from preconstruction through final turnover, with experience delivering communities exceeding 200 units and managing complex developments valued at $50M+.

The ideal individual thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at coordinating multiple stakeholders, and understands the unique challenges associated with multifamily residential construction, modular integration, scheduling, sequencing, quality control, and project delivery.

Description

Our Superintendent will be responsible for:

• Leading all field operations from site mobilization through project completion and turnover.
• Managing large-scale multifamily developments consisting of 200+ units.
• Overseeing projects that incorporate modular construction methodologies and podium-style structures.
• Driving project schedules and maintaining accountability across all trades and subcontractors.
• Developing and managing short-term and long-term construction schedules.
• Coordinating site logistics, project phasing, inspections, and turnover activities.
• Leading subcontractor meetings and ensuring efficient field communication.
• Maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
• Working closely with project management, ownership, consultants, and design teams to ensure successful project execution.

Profile

The ideal Superintendent will have:

• 10+ years of experience managing ground-up multifamily construction projects.
• Extensive experience leading large-scale multifamily developments with 200+ residential units.
• Proven expertise delivering podium, mixed-use, and modular multifamily projects.
• Demonstrated experience serving as the lead field Superintendent on projects valued at $50M+.
• A track record of successfully leading projects through the entire construction lifecycle, from preconstruction planning and site mobilization through certificate of occupancy and final turnover.
• Strong knowledge of multifamily construction sequencing, structural systems, MEP coordination, inspections, and project closeout.
• Experience managing complex site logistics, phased turnover schedules, and high-density residential developments.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, scheduling, and subcontractor management capabilities.
• The ability to independently lead field operations while consistently delivering projects on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Job Offer

We are offering this role:

• Base Salary: $165,000 - $185,000
• Target Bonus: Approximately 12%-15% of Base Salary
