Superintendent for Local Kansas City Project

Join an established contractor with a full pipeline and continues to win work. They focus primarily on commercial, retail, entertainment, hospitality, and healthcare projects up to $30M in value. They are currently seeking an experienced Superintendent for a local Kansas City project, but then open to Midwest travel after.

Job Description

• Manage on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and construction teams to maintain project quality and safety standards.
• Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure compliance with design and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and enforce site safety protocols to create a secure working environment for all team members.
• Communicate regularly with project managers, architects, and clients to provide updates on progress and address any issues.
• Oversee the scheduling and delivery of materials and equipment to maintain project timelines.
• Conduct inspections to ensure work is completed to the highest standards and in accordance with project specifications.
• Resolve any on-site issues or delays effectively and efficiently.

The Successful Applicant

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, is preferred but not required
• 5+ years of field experience as a Superintendent
• Experience with commercial projects is required, with a preference for retail and restaurant projects
• A proven track record in managing construction projects from start to finish.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and building codes.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage diverse teams.
• The ability to troubleshoot and resolve on-site challenges effectively.
• Proficiency in using construction management software and tools.
• A focus on delivering high-quality results while staying on schedule.
