Construction Superintendent to oversee ground-up construction projects from preconstruction through completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing field operations, subcontractors, schedules, safety, quality, and project coordination, with experience working on public-sector construction projects in Southeastern Massachusetts including the Islands.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily field operations for ground-up commercial and public construction projects.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
Maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are met.
Conduct regular site meetings and coordinate daily activities.
Monitor quality control, site safety, and compliance with project requirements.
Review plans, specifications, drawings, and project documentation.
Communicate effectively with Project Managers, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Identify and resolve field issues before they impact project schedules or budgets.
Maintain accurate daily reports, project documentation, and progress updates.
Ensure work is completed in accordance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of construction experience, with a strong focus on ground-up construction.
Demonstrated experience working on public-sector/public works projects.
Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License (MA CSL) required.
Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, scheduling, and project coordination.
Proficiency with computers and standard construction/project management software.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
