The Superintendent - MEP is responsible for leading the planning coordination and execution of mechanical electrical and plumbing work on a construction project. This role ensures MEP systems are installed safely efficiently and in compliance with contract documents design requirements codes schedules and quality standards. As the primary field leader for MEP activities the superintendent works closely with project management engineers inspectors and trade partners to resolve issues manage sequencing and keep the work aligned with project goals.This position requires strong field leadership technical knowledge of building systems and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment. Core responsibilities include supervising subcontractors monitoring progress managing logistics maintaining quality and safety standards and supporting schedule and cost control. The superintendent also helps manage contracts risk change-related issues and pay requisitions while ensuring subcontractors meet insurance certification and contract requirements before work begins.The role calls for advanced knowledge in safety scheduling quality management planning and subcontractor oversight along with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
