The Multifamily Superintendent will lead day-to-day field operations on a large-scale ground-up multifamily redevelopment project in Millburn, NJ, driving execution from framing through project completion. This role requires a highly hands-on leader who thrives in the field, proactively managing subcontractors, schedule, and quality to deliver high-caliber residential projects.

With an active pipeline across multiple NJ markets, they are currently managing several concurrent projects and expect to maintain that level of activity long-term. The organization operates with a flat structure that prioritizes accountability, visibility, and hands-on execution.
Description
- Site Supervision: Lead daily on-site construction operations
- Quality Control: Take ownership of project execution from framing through closeout
- Schedule Management: Drive and maintain construction schedules, ensuring milestones are achieved
- Team Leadership: Coordinate and manage all subcontractors, vendors, and trades on-site
- Safety Compliance: Oversee site safety, quality control, and overall project logistics
- Active Project: Manage final phases of construction, including finishes, punch lists, and site work (paving, curbs, landscaping)
Profile
- 7-10+ years of ground-up construction experience, specifically in stick-frame multifamily
- Proven ability to independently manage schedules, subcontractors, and field operations
- Highly hands-on, field-oriented leader-actively engaged on-site rather than managing from the trailer
- Direct communicator who surfaces issues early and drives solutions
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working 1-2 Saturdays per month (half-day rotation)
- Proficiency with Procore and Bluebeam preferred
