Compensation: $127,000+ annually, depending on experience; higher compensation considered for exceptional candidates

About the Opportunity

An established commercial general contractor is seeking a Superintendent with multifamily and mixed-use construction experience for opportunities in Traverse City, Michigan.

This role offers the opportunity to lead daily field operations, coordinate trades, and maintain project safety, quality, and schedule. Candidates interested in relocating are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily jobsite operations and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers.

• Develop look-ahead schedules and maintain progress toward project milestones.

• Coordinate sitework, structural construction, building enclosure, MEP, and interior finishes.

• Plan material deliveries, site access, and construction logistics.

• Review drawings and specifications and resolve field coordination issues.

• Lead subcontractor meetings and maintain accountability for scheduled work.

• Inspect workmanship and track corrective actions.

• Maintain daily reports and document progress, manpower, and project concerns.

• Enforce safety expectations and maintain an organized jobsite.

• Drive punch-list completion, inspections, and turnover.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated superintendent experience on multifamily or mixed-use projects.

• Ability to lead field operations through multiple phases of construction.

• Strong understanding of trade sequencing and subcontractor coordination.

• Experience managing schedules, quality, and jobsite safety.

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to interpret construction plans and specifications.

• Willingness to work in Traverse City.
