Job Description

Lead day-to-day field operations for a 3-5 storey, 200+ unit mixed-use development in Charleston. Manage the project from ground-up construction through completion and turnover. Coordinate subcontractors, trades and site activities to maintain the construction schedule. Drive quality, safety and productivity standards across the jobsite. Identify field challenges early and take ownership of developing practical solutions. Partner closely with project management, ownership and internal construction teams. Communicate project progress, challenges and priorities clearly to key stakeholders. Build productive relationships with subcontractors and project partners. Maintain a professional, organised and results-driven jobsite environment. Report directly to the Director of Construction.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Superintendent should have: Proven ground-up multifamily construction experience. Experience supervising large-scale wood-frame multifamily projects preferred. Ability to independently drive schedules and get projects across the finish line. Resourceful problem solver who takes ownership and acts with urgency. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and hold teams accountable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Professional and polished when working with internal and external stakeholders. Comfortable operating in a fast-paced construction environment with significant responsibility.
