Brayman Construction is hiring a full-time Superintendent to support Near Surface Construction Activities at the newly awarded ALCOSAN Ohio River Tunnel Project. This large scale, long-term project is designed to reduce combined sewer overflows (CSO) and includes challenging near-surface work in congested urban environments, where successful execution will require careful planning around existing utilities, limited work areas, public access, traffic control, and coordination with multiple project stakeholders. This role requires strong field leadership, the ability to manage complex utility restrictions and constructability challenges, and rigorous safety oversight. JOB SUMMARY
The Near Surface Construction Superintendent is responsible for assigned construction projects and will lead, manage and oversee overall project work plans and progress for the projects assigned. On the ALCOSAN Ohio River Tunnel Project, this includes managing near-surface scopes such as shafts, support of excavation, utility relocations and protections, access improvements, site logistics, and surface-level civil work in dense urban settings. The Superintendent works closely with the General Superintendent to ensure that the focus remains on company goals, such as safety, quality and workmanship that meets the Company and Owner standards.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
This is a Safety Sensitive Position requiring work on project sites, including federal projects, dense urban work zones, and heavy construction environments with various safety hazards which are potentially life-threatening to the employee. This position may require working at heights, in confined spaces, around heavy equipment, around high voltage, near active utilities, adjacent to traffic or pedestrian areas, and under constantly changing circumstances. This position may also entail project site work at night and on weekends on an as needed basis. This position will be subject to more stringent drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a federal contractor.
