Job Description
The responsibilities of a Superintendent:
- Manage all phases of ground-up construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and client relationships
- Coordinate with field teams, design partners, consultants, and ownership groups
- Lead project planning efforts to ensure quality, safety, and schedule objectives are achieved
- Monitor project financial performance and proactively manage risks and opportunities
- Review contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
- Collaborate with project teams to resolve issues and maintain project momentum
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project engineers and support staff
- Ensure successful delivery of projects ranging from approximately $30M to $200M+
- Maintain strong communication with all project stakeholders throughout the construction lifecycle

The Successful Applicant
- 5-10 years of commercial construction management experience
- Experience managing ground-up construction projects
- Project experience in sectors such as commercial, multifamily, healthcare, education, public works, hospitality, industrial, or related markets
- Demonstrated experience with projects valued at $30M or greater
- Strong budgeting, scheduling, and project management skills
- Ability to lead diverse project teams and manage multiple stakeholders
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Willingness to work on projects throughout the Washington, D.C. Metro and Northern Virginia regions
