The Construction Superintendent will lead day-to-day field operations on luxury residential gut renovation projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. This individual will coordinate all trades, maintain project schedules, and serve as the on-site leader while working closely with Project Managers, architects, designers, and ownership representatives.

They specialize in complete gut renovations of landmark townhomes and ultra-luxury penthouses for high-net-worth individuals, delivering projects that often exceed $25 million in value. Working alongside world-renowned architects, interior designers, and skilled craftspeople, they are known for exceptional craftsmanship, meticulous execution, and an unwavering commitment to quality. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of prestigious projects, they are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join their team.

Description

  • Manage daily field operations on high-end residential renovation projects
  • Lead complete gut renovations of luxury townhomes and $25M+ penthouses
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules
  • Coordinate all subcontractors, vendors, and site logistics
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards
  • Conduct daily site walks and proactively resolve field issues
  • Maintain a safe and organized jobsite
  • Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with NYC building requirements
  • Work closely with Project Managers to keep projects on schedule and within budget
  • Review shop drawings and coordinate installation sequencing
  • Manage punch lists and oversee project closeout
  • Build strong relationships with clients, architects, designers, and subcontractors

Profile

  • A successful Superintendent should have:
  • 8+ years of Superintendent experience with a General Contractor
  • Extensive experience managing luxury residential interior gut renovations
  • Proven success delivering townhome, brownstone, penthouse, or luxury condominium renovations
  • Strong knowledge of high-end finishes, custom millwork, stone, architectural details, and premium interior systems
  • Ability to coordinate multiple trades in occupied and complex urban environments
  • Excellent scheduling, sequencing, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage demanding clients and project teams
  • Thorough understanding of NYC construction practices, safety requirements, and inspections
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Stable work history with a reputation for delivering exceptional quality
