Superintendent - North Jersey Construction

Company is seeking a Superintendent to oversee commercial interior and tenant fit-out projects throughout the Kearny, NJ area. This individual will play a key role in managing daily field operations, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring project schedules are maintained, and delivering high-quality projects safely and efficiently.

Company is a well-established Philadelphia-based General Contractor/Construction Management firm with a strong reputation for delivering commercial construction projects throughout the greater Philadelphia region. As they continue to expand their presence into Northern New Jersey, they have secured a growing pipeline of commercial interior and tenant improvement work, including an active portfolio in the Kearny market.

Description

• Site Supervision: Manage day-to-day field operations for commercial interiors and tenant fit-out projects.

• Team Leadership: Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to maintain project schedules and quality standards.

• Safety Compliance: Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.

• Schedule Management: Review construction documents, project schedules, and scopes of work to identify and resolve field issues proactively.

• Quality Control: Perform quality control inspections to ensure work meets project specifications.

• Documentation: Maintain detailed daily reports, site logs, and project documentation.

Profile

• Experience as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent with a GC firm

• Commercial interiors, renovation, tenant fit-out, or tenant improvement experience is highly preferred.

• Candidates who have progressed through the trades into field leadership roles are strongly encouraged to apply.

• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and subcontractor management.

• Ability to communicate effectively with project teams, clients, and subcontractors.

• Knowledge of jobsite safety practices and OSHA standards.

• Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
