Their reputation is built on long-standing client relationships, repeat business, and a people-first culture where employees are valued and supported.Job DescriptionThe responsibilities of a Superintendent:Lead all onsite construction activities for occupied healthcare renovation and interior fit-out projects.Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure safe and efficient project execution.Maintain strict compliance with infection control requirements, ICRA protocols, interim life safety measures, and hospital-specific standards.Collaborate closely with healthcare staff, facilities teams, and project stakeholders to minimize disruptions to patient care and daily operations.Develop and execute site logistics plans in active hospital, clinic, and medical office environments.Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure work is completed accurately and in accordance with contract requirements.Monitor project schedules, manpower, and productivity to keep projects on track.Lead daily huddles, subcontractor meetings, and coordination efforts among project teams.Proactively identify and resolve field issues, conflicts, and unforeseen conditions.Enforce safety standards and quality control measures across all aspects of construction.Maintain accurate daily reports, site logs, inspections, and project documentation.Oversee punch list completion, closeout activities, and project turnover.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantA successful Superintendent should have:Proven ability to manage subcontractors, schedules, and day-to-day field operations.Experience working in occupied buildings where safety and operational continuity are critical.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Working knowledge of construction safety requirements and quality control practices.Healthcare construction experience strongly preferred.Experience working in hospitals, medical facilities, surgical centers, laboratories, or other occupied healthcare environments.Knowledge of infection control procedures, ICRA requirements, and interim life safety measures.Experience with phased renovations, after-hours work, and complex project logistics.Background in government, institutional, or commercial interiors projects.What's on OfferCompetitive base salary up to 150k for highly experienced candidates$625/month vehicle allowanceCompany-issued cell phone and tablet/laptop3 weeks PTOMedical benefits effective the first of the month following 30 days of employment
