If you are a decisive operations leader who thrives on the plant floor and excels at continuous improvement, this role offers an impactful opportunity to drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership: Direct daily 2nd shift production activities on a live, high-volume manufacturing floor, ensuring seamless handoffs between shifts.
Performance Metrics: Own and maintain a minimum 93% production efficiency rating by optimizing labor utilization, equipment uptime, and inventory control.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure absolute adherence to USDA regulations, food safety protocols, QA standards, and compliance documentation from day one.
Team Development: Direct, mentor, and evaluate frontline production supervisors, actively cultivating leadership capabilities, accountability, and safety compliance. [
Cost & Waste Control: Manage shift budgets, control operational costs, and execute continuous improvement initiatives to minimize ingredient and material waste.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the maintenance team to troubleshoot equipment issues in real time and maximize machinery uptime.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of progressive leadership experience (Superintendent or senior General Supervisor level) specifically within a USDA Ready-to-Eat (RTE) food manufacturing facility.
Regulatory Expertise: Complete, autonomous fluency in USDA requirements, food safety audits, and regulatory documentation. Non-RTE or commercial baking backgrounds will not match the required regulatory scope.
Accountability: Proven experience managing plant-level scheduling, staffing models, and hard efficiency KPIs under tight budgetary parameters.
Work Environment: Ability to work standard 2nd shift hours (4:00 PM – 11:00 PM) and stand/walk for extended periods on a loud, temperature-controlled production floor.
Legal Authorization: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder. Visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
