Position Description
POSITION OVERVIEW
CORE is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to provide on-site coordination and leadership for all phases of construction on large scale commercial projects in Arizona. The superintendent's role is to ensure tasks required to facilitate the construction of the project on site are implemented while utilizing CORE's best practices in safety, quality, schedule and cost while maintaining relationships with both our trade partners and our clients. These large-scale projects are often for a wide range of institutional clients, including colleges, universities, K-12 districts, municipalities, healthcare systems and more.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinate and oversee all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project closeout • Coach subcontractors on safe construction practices, including healthcare-specific safety and ICRA compliance • Enforce quality control standards and ensure timely correction of subcontractor deficiencies • Maintain and manage the project schedule, including critical path coordination • Facilitate subcontractor coordination to minimize disruptions in active and occupied facilities • Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, and inspectors to resolve challenges and unforeseen conditions • Review and interpret drawings, specifications, RFIs, ASIs, and material submittals • Prepare daily field reports and weekly schedule updates • Ensure compliance with CORE best practices related to safety, quality, schedule, and cost control
Position Requirements
Minimum 10 years construction experience Minimum 5 years supervisory experience Strong communications skills, both written and verbal Complete and detailed experience with subcontractor and construction sequencing Understanding of ASI's, RFI's and Material Submittals
Technology: Experience with Microsoft Office, MS Project, Bluebeam and Procore Experience with CMAR and/or Design/Build delivery methods
Must work well in a team environment and be committed to client service Must be willing to travel within the state of Arizona OSHA 30A valid Driver's License
This is an exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act and employee is not eligible for overtime compensation.
