A well-established heavy civil construction company is seeking a Superintendent to lead Field Operations and work closely with the Project Management team to deliver safe, high-quality, and profitable projects.

The Superintendent will be responsible for coordinating project schedules, setting production goals, managing crews and Foremen, overseeing equipment and subcontractors, and implementing effective cost controls across labor, materials, and equipment.

What You’ll Do (Essential Duties & Responsibilities)

Project Scheduling & Production

• Lead the development of the project schedule with the Project Manager
• Ensure the project team executes according to the plan
• Set, communicate, and enforce production goals and schedules with crews

Cost & Resource Management

• Implement effective cost controls over labor, materials, and equipment
• Manage equipment on the project
• Promote a culture of equipment care

Field Leadership

• Manage and develop Foremen
• Lead Field Operations across the project
• Ensure accurate project documentation

Subcontractor & Labor Management

• Manage project subcontractors
• Understand and incorporate applicable collective bargaining agreements into project decision-making

What You Bring (Qualifications & Education)

Experience

• 7+ years of progressive experience within the Heavy Civil Market
• Infrastructure experience preferred
• Experience running self-perform operations
• Expert knowledge of various areas of construction, including:
  • Structures
  • Piles
  • Bridges
  • Earthwork
  • Utilities

Skills

• Proven leadership
