The key responsibilities of the Superintendent are:
Manage all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project closeout.
Lead and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and self-perform crews.
Maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are achieved.
Conduct daily site meetings and coordinate work between multiple trades.
Ensure compliance with all safety requirements and maintain a zero-incident mindset.
Monitor quality control standards and ensure adherence to client specifications.
Collaborate with project management teams on budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and project documentation.
Identify and resolve field issues proactively while maintaining strong client relationships.
Coordinate inspections, commissioning activities, and turnover processes.
Maintain clear communication with owners, design teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
The successful Superintendent will have the following:
Extensive Superintendent experience with a General Contractor or Construction Manager.
Proven success leading pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, or highly regulated industrial projects.
Direct experience with: Pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, Cleanroom construction, GMP-regulated facilities
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of Project Management and Project Engineering functions.
Experience coordinating complex renovation projects within occupied or active manufacturing facilities is highly preferred.
