Job Description
Building And Construction Superintendent
As a Building and Construction Superintendent, you will:
- Manage all day-to-day field operations on assigned projects
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and onsite personnel
- Maintain project schedules and ensure milestone completion
- Lead jobsite safety initiatives and enforce OSHA compliance
- Conduct daily site walks and quality inspections
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents
- Coordinate material deliveries and site logistics
- Identify and resolve field issues proactively
- Communicate project progress with Project Managers, clients, and stakeholders
- Maintain daily reports and project documentation
- Support punch list completion, turnover, and project closeout activities

A successful Building and Construction Superintendent candidate will have:
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or in a field leadership role
- Strong commercial construction experience
- Proven ability to lead subcontractors and manage onsite teams
- Experience maintaining project schedules and driving productivity
- Thorough understanding of construction sequencing, methods, and best practices
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety requirements
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and construction documents
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Experience with commercial, industrial, institutional, healthcare, education, or municipal projects preferred
