Our client is a top 400 ENR commercial General Contractor with 20 years experience in the San Diego market. The team prides themselves on delivering high-end tenant improvement and ground up construction projects across Public Works, Education, and Healthcare while maintaining a family-oriented culture. The team enjoys a laid-back environment, strong work-life balance, and the opportunity to work on some of the region's most exciting projects while strengthening client partnerships. The team are currently expanding the field operations team due to very healthy backlog into 2028 already, and are looking to hire a Superintendent for their healthcare division.

Our Superintendent will be responsible for:

• Coordinate the work of all construction substrates in conjunction with the main office.
• Arrange, monitor and be present for agency inspections.
• Read and comprehend the information contained in architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and landscape drawings and specifications.
• Review shop drawings and other reports prepared by testing and inspection agency. Prepare and monitor RFI's.
• Prepare daily report forms and progress photographs.
• Working knowledge familiarity with computer operating systems including Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel; and opening, preparing, scanning, printing, and sending PDF files and other documents.
• Actively engage design professionals, subcontractors, project managers, and local officials, when needed, to problem solve, mitigate conflicts, and resolve disputes.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly job site; and enforce job site safety standards.

The ideal Senior Superintendent will have:

• 10+ years of Superintendent experience with a General Contractor.
• HCAI, Hospital, MOB, or other Healthcare projects $25M+
• Self-perform experience preferred
• Complete understanding of the construction process
• Must be proficient in reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawings
• Excellent communication skills with various parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients
• Self-motivated
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Willing to take on multiple responsibilities and complete a variety of tasks to complete projects on time

We are offering this role:

• $150,000 - $190,000 base salary dependent on experience
• $600 car allowance or company vehicle
