Job Description
Superintendent
The Superintendent will:
- Lead all on-site construction activities for an $18M K-12 school renovation project in Washington, DC.
- Oversee daily field operations, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and site logistics.
- Manage a 41,000-square-foot school reconfiguration involving extensive renovation work.
- Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system upgrades throughout the project.
- Supervise construction of a new roof system, including green roof installation.
- Maintain project safety, quality control, and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, design teams, owners, and trade partners.
- Drive schedule performance and proactively resolve field challenges.
- Conduct subcontractor meetings and ensure work progresses according to plan.
- Support successful project turnover and project closeout activities.

A successful Superintendent should have:
- Experience serving as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects.
- Proven ability to manage field operations, subcontractors, and project schedules.
- Experience overseeing renovation and complex occupied-facility projects.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple trades in an active construction environment.
