We"re seeking a dependable and experienced Geotechnical Construction Superintendent to lead the safe and efficient delivery of geotechnical construction projects. This role is responsible for ensuring jobsites operate without incident, meet all quality standards, and stay on schedule. Ideal candidates are strong communicators, proactive problem-solvers, and accountable leaders who excel in fast-paced environments with clear expectations and authority structures.
Construction Superintendent Responsibilities:
- Enforce and model safety practices in accordance with OSHA and company safety programs; complete and lead all required safety trainings
- Lead site operations to ensure work is completed to plan, specifications, and internal standard procedures
- Maintain production targets and align work with weekly construction plans
- Proactively identify issues or deviations from plan and communicate with PM, client, and leadership
- Submit daily field reports, testing data, material logs, and expense records accurately and on time
- Supervise and manage performance of direct reports and subcontractors on-site
- Schedule and coordinate equipment, tools, and materials needed to avoid delays
- Ensure proper equipment inspection, maintenance, and reporting of service needs
- Oversee site cleanliness, organization, and secure handling of company resources
- Manage change orders and punch list completion in coordination with the Project Manager
- Participate in daily huddles and post-project evaluation to improve future project outcomes
Superintendent Job Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading field crews on geotechnical construction projects (e.g., shoring systems, soldier pile walls, micropiles)
- Degree not required, but would be a plus
- Ability and willingness to travel overnight regularly during the work week
