Superintendent / Senior Superintendent — Commercial Construction

Location: Albuquerque, NM

Compensation: $100,000–$145,000 annually, depending on experience and position level

About the Opportunity

An established commercial general contractor is seeking a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent with experience across commercial, K–12, and healthcare construction.

Strong Albuquerque-area construction connections are required for consideration. The ideal candidate brings hands-on field leadership, knowledge of the local subcontractor market, and the ability to coordinate complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers.

• Develop look-ahead schedules and track project milestones.

• Manage jobsite logistics, deliveries, inspections, and trade sequencing.

• Review construction documents and resolve field conflicts.

• Lead subcontractor coordination meetings.

• Monitor workmanship and address quality deficiencies.

• Enforce jobsite safety expectations.

• Maintain daily reports and communicate progress and risks.

• Coordinate phased work and occupied-facility requirements when applicable.

• Lead punch-list completion, final inspections, and turnover.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated superintendent experience in commercial construction.

• Relevant K–12 and healthcare project experience.

• Strong local construction relationships in the Albuquerque market.

• Ability to lead subcontractors and maintain schedule accountability.

• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, quality, and safety.

• Ability to interpret plans and specifications.

• Senior-level candidates should demonstrate leadership on complex projects and the ability to mentor field personnel.
