Allegiance Group are partnering with a leading General Contractor based in Stamford, CT, to appoint an experienced Superintendent to join their team.
\n
\n
The successful candidate will play a critical role in the delivery of a large-scale multifamily development, taking responsibility for the day-to-day field operations and working closely with the Project Manager, subcontractors, consultants, and wider project team.
\n
\n

Key Responsibilities:
\n

- Lead and oversee all day-to-day field operations on a large-scale multifamily project.
- \n
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and onsite trades.
- \n
- Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure the project remains on schedule and within budget.
- \n
- Develop and maintain short-term and look-ahead schedules.
- \n
- Coordinate sequencing and logistics across multiple trades.
- \n
- Monitor workmanship and ensure construction is completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
- \n
- Conduct regular site inspections and identify potential issues before they impact the project.
- \n
- Lead daily coordination meetings and maintain clear communication with subcontractors and the project team.
- \n
- Review plans, drawings, specifications, and details to ensure accurate execution in the field.
- \n
- Coordinate inspections and work with relevant authorities, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- \n
- Maintain a safe and organized jobsite and enforce all site safety policies and procedures.
- \n
- Track project progress and communicate updates, delays, and potential issues to the Project Manager.
- \n
- Assist with quality control, punch lists, closeout, and final turnover.
- \n
- Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and ensure accountability for performance and schedule.

Requirements:
\n
- \n
- 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, ideally with a General Contractor.
- \n
- Proven experience overseeing multifamily, residential, mixed-use, or large-scale commercial construction projects.
- \n
- Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, sequencing, and site logistics.
- \n
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- \n
- Strong understanding of scheduling and subcontractor coordination.
- \n
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- \n
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to proactively identify and resolve field issues.
- \n
- Experience with Procore or similar construction management software is preferred.
- \n
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
