This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to join a financially secure company with a strong project pipeline, long-term growth potential, and a small-team culture.Job DescriptionThe Superintendent - Wet Utilities - DC, MD, VA will be responsible for:Overseeing day-to-day field operations for water, sewer, storm drain, and utility infrastructure projects throughout the DC, Maryland, and Virginia regionManaging project schedules and ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budgetCoordinating subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and internal project teamsLeading field personnel, equipment operators, and labor crews to maximize productivity and qualityReviewing construction drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure compliance with contract requirementsConducting site walks, progress meetings, and safety inspectionsMaintaining strong relationships with owners, municipalities, utility authorities, and project stakeholdersTracking production, manpower, equipment utilization, and project progressIdentifying and resolving field issues, conflicts, and construction challenges in a timely mannerEnsuring all work is performed in accordance with company safety standards, local regulations, and environmental requirementsCollaborating with Project Managers to develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plansManaging material deliveries, equipment allocation, and procurement needs for active projectsMentoring and developing field staff while fostering a positive team-oriented culturePreparing and submitting daily reports, project updates, and documentationSupporting the successful execution of multiple utility and heavy civil projects simultaneously across the regionMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
