Supervises Staff Attorneys, including regular performance check-ins. • Assists in consultations with prospective clients. • Handles a limited legal caseload. • Provides legal representation of clients before the USCIS Baltimore District Office, the Asylum Office in Arlington, Virginia, and the Baltimore Immigration Court. • Provides guidance and mentorship to Staff Attorneys. • Plans and assists with community outreach and education. Assists the ILS Program through the collection of fees and fundraising. • Assists with Program communications and reports by tracking case statistics, outcomes, and sharing success stories. • Keeps records, collects, and inputs data and reports statistical information to the Managing Attorney. • Assists Managing Attorney with preparation of grant reports and proposals as needed. Assures that services, policies, and procedures are consistent with the ILS Program and Agency philosophy, and assists with communicating same to staff and insuring staff compliance.
Law degree from an accredited law school. Licensed to practice law in at least one State, U.S. Territory, or a Federal District Court. Two years of immigration law practice experience requiredFluent in Spanish
