To provide specialized assistance and counseling to the general community population. Responsible for a variety of professional tasks related to developing, implementing and conducting specialized individual and group psychotherapy in a clinical setting.
Description of Duties
Supervision Received
General direction from the assigned supervisor.
Supervision Given
Practicum Students, LPC-Interns, Social Work Interns, and assigned support staff.
Required Education
Master's degree in a mental health related field.
Preferred Education

Licenses/Certifications
Must be licensed in a mental health discipline in the State of Texas. Currently possess the supervisor credential for LPC or LCSW interns, or obtain within 3 months of employment.
Required Experience
Four (4) years experience in a counseling position of which at least two (2) years as a licensed mental health professional.
Preferred Experience
Bilingual in English/Spanish.
Equipment
Use of standard office equipment. Use of monitoring system to provide live supervision for Practicum Students and LPC-Interns.
Working Conditions
Needs to be able to successfully perform all required duties. Usual office environment; may be required to lift up to 25 lbs.
Other
Ability to set and adjust priorities; handle a high volume of work with frequent interruptions; work independently and in a flexible manner to meet changing business requirements. Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills; ability to speak and write clearly and concisely. Seeks to listen and understand views and comments of others. Some travel will be required. Ability to work weekends and/or evenings as needed. High degree of accuracy required in all phases of work.
