Position Summary
A manufacturing company specializing in the production of fire retardants and industrial acids is seeking an experienced Supervisor to oversee Chemical Operators and Laborers within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate needs to have leadership experience in an industrial or commercial environment and a strong commitment to safety, productivity, and team development.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead Chemical Operators and Laborers during daily plant operations.
- Ensure all safety procedures, environmental regulations, and manufacturing practices are strictly followed.
- Monitor production activities to maintain efficiency, quality standards, and operational goals.
- Conduct inspections of work areas, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Investigate and report safety incidents, near misses, and operational concerns.
Qualifications
- Leadership or supervisory experience required in an industrial or commercial setting.
- Experience in chemical manufacturing or a related industrial environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety standards and manufacturing operations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead teams and enforce company policies consistently.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment around chemicals and industrial equipment.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be capable of walking up and down flights of stairs.
