Under the supervision of the Director of Cardiology the Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the registered nurses, surgical technicians, radiology technicians, and ancillary staff within the cardiac catheterization laboratory. The Supervisor will also be responsible for directing and coordinating the daily functions of the cardiac catheterization laboratory.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Supports the HCA Code of Conduct. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with organization mission and goals.
2. Ensures patient/personal safety by maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment and adhering to Safety Program and Infection Control Programs.
3. Supports hospital and departmental Performance Improvement Goals.

5. Assumes responsibility of cardiology services in the absence of the Director of Cardiology. Supervises Registered Nurses, surgical technicians, radiology technicians, supply clerk, and transporters in the performance of their daily duties.
A. Insures that hospital and departmental policies and procedures are carried out.
B. Continually reviews and evaluates team members practical application of knowledge and skills, providing
additional training as required
8. Helps resolve staff questions or problems by acting as a resource.
9. Provides input on employee evaluations. (Input on daily operations)
10. Observes cost-containment practices, evaluates and recommends appropriate inventory levels working with the supply clerk.
11. Actively participates in development and implementation of performance improvement activities within the cardiac catheterization laboratory.
12. Familiar with and able to perform all cath lab duties associated under their license.
13. Must be able to be flexible, approachable, maintain good communication skills with all personnel and medical staff, and perform duties in a pleasant and professional manner.
14. Assist with maintaining accurate timecard records.
15. Demonstrates desirable work habits.
16. Performs other duties as needed.
