About the Role:

The Account Manager Supervisor willlead and develop a team of Commercial Lines Account Managers while also managing an assigned book of business. This role combines advanced Commercial Lines expertise with people leadership. You will serve as a technical resource, coach, and mentor to team members!

How You will be Compensated:

  • $100,000-$130,000/year Depending on Experience

What You will Do:

  • Leadership
    • Oversee the day-to-day performance of an Account Management team: managing work assignments and evaluations.
    • Provide ongoing coaching, training, performance feedback, and professional development to support employee growth and engagement.
    • Monitor team workflows, identify inefficiencies, and contribute to the development and implementation of recommended process improvements.
    • Field and resolve escalated or complex service requests from clients, carriers, and supervised staff.
    • Support and participate in hiring and termination decisions for supervised staff.
    • Assist with special projects, reporting, and strategic initiatives.
  • Managing a Book of Business
    • Deliver quality service to clients, carriers, and peers through friendly, timely, and clear communication that manages expectations and builds relationships.
    • Apply insurance knowledge, solve problems, and analyze coverages to ensure client needs are met.
    • Maintain well-documented, organized client files.
    • Stay current on market trends, industry standards, and company information.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Commercial Lines Account Management experience
  • Active Property & Casualty License
  • Advanced working knowledge of Commercial Lines insurance coverages and agency operations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Applied Epic
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • College Degree
    • AINS, AFIS, CRIS, CIC or other industry designation
    • Experience servicing commercial accounts in California
    • Experience mentoring, training, or leading service team members
