PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs supervisor duties such as:
• Interviews, hires, discharges, or makes authoritative recommendations with regard to the hiring or discharging of subordinate employees. • Plans work schedules and assigns work based on the availability of personnel, workload, and employee competency. • Evaluates employee performance, recommends pay increases, handles disputes, and takes disciplinary action as required. • Keeps records, logs, etc. and prepares reports and budgets for leadership use. • Resolves problems and complaints regarding divisional services or activities. • Represents the division(s) at department meetings as well as at interdepartmental meetings. • Submits payroll information for division(s). • Ensures that all necessary supplies are ordered and stocked. • Ensures that safety regulations, and radiation protection where appropriate, are observed and that policies adhered to. • Ensures compliance with all regulatory agency standards. • Demonstrates leadership in "Each Patient First" behaviors. • Maintains quality control and prescribed standards of technological aspects of the Radiologic procedures performed in the division(s). • Maintains policies and procedures for the division(s). • Maintains the patient schedules and adjusts them as appropriate for better service.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Requires high school diploma or G.E.D equivalent. Must be registered in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or equivalent accrediting agency. Must have ARRT advanced registry or certification in CT. Requires at least three years of experience as a Technologist. Must maintain the required hours of continued education. Must maintain Healthcare Provider certification (BCLS). A bachelors degree in a health-related field is preferred. Two years of supervisory experience is preferred.
