Supervisor, Cyber Operations

A leading nonprofit organization supporting critical infrastructure is seeking a Cybersecurity Operations Supervisor to lead its OT (Operational Technology) security team. This role is essential in ensuring compliance with NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) standards and protecting the digital systems that support the electric grid.

As a team leader, you’ll oversee cybersecurity analysts and drive the development of programs, processes, and tools that safeguard critical systems and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead OT security event monitoring, triage, and escalation processes
• Oversee access provisioning and revocation for CIP systems and applications
• Manage OT vulnerability management and threat intelligence programs
• Maintain asset management for Bulk Electric System Cyber Systems
• Evaluate and recommend emerging cybersecurity technologies
• Collaborate with engineering, IT, audit, and operations teams to ensure compliance
• Mentor and guide analysts and operations center staff

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field
• (OR) Associate’s degree with 12+ years of relevant experience

Experience:

• 10+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, IT, or OT environments
• At least 3 years in a dedicated cybersecurity role
• Experience in team leadership, technical writing, and regulated environments (e.g., NERC CIP)
• NIST compliance experience or ISO 
• Familiarity with SCADA/EMS, network engineering, or physical security is a plus
• Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or similar preferred
