UPMC Williamsport is seeking an experienced and motivated Supervisor, Diagnostic Radiology to join our Imaging Services leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for an imaging professional who is passionate about patient care, team development, and operational excellence.

In this role, you'll lead a dedicated team of imaging professionals, support daily department operations, and help ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality care to our patients.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Diagnostic Radiology department to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional patient care.
  • Lead, mentor, and support imaging staff through onboarding, coaching, professional development, and annual performance evaluations.
  • Promote a positive and engaging work environment through staff recognition and employee empowerment.
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, and developing top talent.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels and effective delegation of responsibilities.
  • Support the development, implementation, and enforcement of departmental policies, procedures, and quality initiatives.
  • Monitor compliance with safety, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
  • Maintain employee performance records and provide coaching when needed.
  • Participate in departmental budgeting and resource management efforts.
  • Ensure quality control testing, equipment monitoring, and maintenance activities are completed and documented in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Stay current with advancements in radiology and imaging services to support best practices and continuous improvement.

  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology required.
  • Minimum 4 years of imaging experience required.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances

Required Education & Credentials

  • Graduate of an ARRT-, RDMS-, or NMTCB-accredited program.
  • Current certification in one of the following:
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
  • NMTCB/CNMT (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board

Required Certifications

  • BLS (Basic Life Support or CPR Certification
  • Must meet American Heart Association (AHA standards, including both didactic and hands-on skills components, within 30 days of hire.

New York Practice Requirements (if applicable

For positions at New York facilities, candidates must:

  • Hold ARRT or NMTCB certification.
  • Maintain licensure through the New York State Department of Health.

Required Clearances

  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting (with renewal
  • Act 33 Clearance (with renewal
  • Act 34 Clearance (with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance (with renewal
