NoEssential FunctionsEstablish standards and work procedures for housekeeping staff in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.Plan work schedules and assign staff, hours, and work areas to ensure adequate environmental services coverage throughout the hospital.Train, supervise, and evaluate housekeeping personnel to ensure high-quality performance and compliance with established standards.Inspect and assess the physical condition of hospital facilities and recommend repairs, renovations, furnishings, equipment relocation, and space utilization improvements.Identify, report, and follow up on unsafe conditions to promote a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.Research, evaluate, and recommend new housekeeping supplies, equipment, and cleaning methods to improve operational effectiveness.Prepare departmental budgets, productivity reports, and other administrative documentation.Maintain inventory levels of housekeeping supplies and equipment, and requisition replacement items as needed.Ensure departmental compliance with infection prevention, regulatory, safety, and environmental standards.
