Supervisor Food & Beverage

The Food and Beverage Supervisors are an integral part of the Food and Beverage Management team. You will oversee all day to day restaurant operations providing excellent service to our guests including answering guest inquiries and effectively handling complaints while maintain professionalism and friendly positive attitude that support HAP service excellence values. This position supervises and motivates team members in line with company standards.
Responsibilities:
• Supervises food and beverage staff and the activities of the food and beverage operations and services. • Monitors and tracks sales and recommends strategies to achieve sales and performance goals. • Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the Companys policies, objectives, and applicable government laws and regulations. • Ensure all venues are always presentable and ready for service. • Handle guest complaints according to provided guidelines. • Provide coaching and guidance to seasonal FOH F&B team. • Regular checks of cashiers paperwork, deposits, tips, and correct closeouts of the POS system. • Hold pre-shift meetings with all FOH Team Members. • Partners with F&B leadership team to uphold safety, service, and company expectations. • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following company standards and sanitation guidelines. • Contribute effectively to a positive guest experience while maintaining a professional attitude and appearance.
Requirements:
• Proficiency in the use of computer business applications with working knowledge of computerized point of sales POS systems. • Minimum age of 18 years required to serve alcohol in the State of Alaska. • Must pass a pre-employment background check. • Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing where available. • Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Must have or be able to obtain a valid Alaska Food Handlers Card. • Must have or be able to obtain a valid alcohol safety card for the State of Alaska. • Ability to organize and prioritize work, maintain attention to time constraints while working in a team or group environment. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals. • Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines, including support and comply with company health and safety standards. • Ability to stand, walk, work on feet for minimum of 8 hours per day.
