What you will be doing: You’ll be responsible for the management of food services, which includes the cafeteria and special center functions in compliance with government and management directives.
Essential Functions:
1. Plan, coordinate and manage the administrative and food service activities of the department.
2. Assist in the development and implementation of new and revised policies and procedures affecting food services.
3. Plan the menu and provide appetizing, nutritious and realistically portioned meals in a clean, comfortable environment.
4. Conduct inspections of food service areas.
5. Ensure quality of production and food purchase requirements; maintain cost control to stay within budget limitations; assist in inventory control.
6. Review and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness of delivery of services to students. Prepare related reports.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
+ High school diploma or equivalent. knowledge of nutrition and methods for food cost effectiveness desired.
+ Valid food handler's permit required in the state of work or ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment.
+ A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
