DESCRIPTION: This is maintenance and personal services work of a supervisory nature in
performing and overseeing the transport, operation, maintenance and repair of a variety of
automotive, grounds, and construction equipment to support grounds maintenance, improvement,
and emergency projects at state or government facilities. Supervision is exercised over
employees performing work on related projects and work tasks. Work is performed under limited
supervision.

... Transports, operates, maintains, and repairs, heavy vehicles and equipment statewide.
... Develops, assigns, and oversees preventative maintenance programs for assigned vehicles

levels.
... Researches and prepares specifications for vehicle and equipment purchase orders to obtain
required vehicles and equipment.

Demonstrated experience transporting, operating, maintaining and repairing a variety of
automotive, heavy vehicle, grounds, and construction equipment. Demonstrated experience
performing and supervising grounds construction, maintenance and improvement projects.
LICENSING/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: (These must be met by
all employees prior to attaining permanent status in this class).
Maine Class A driver's license.
