    Schedule- Monday - Friday - 2030 - 0500

    Will support (multiple Emergencies Departments) overnight- Yale, South, Glenpool

    On Call Required (Rotated weekends)

    Strong previous Leadership and Patient Access Required

    Job Summary: The Supervisor, Hospital Access will provide leadership and guidance for staff in one or more of the following departments: Emergency Center Registrations, Financial Counseling, Hospital Admissions and Outpatient Registration, and Hospital Outpatient Department Registration. This role will post work schedules to ensure efficient use of staff time with minimal use of overtime, attend meetings, maintain team productivity, work closely with other departments, assist with cash handling, order office supplies, fill in for staff when needed, work with staff and patients on a daily basis. They exemplify excellent customer service for both staff and patients.

    Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED. Associate's degree in Healthcare or related field, preferred.

    Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: None.

    Work Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in a professional or customer-facing role. 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience, preferred.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Sound knowledge of Microsoft 365 and other applicable software. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal that present clear and concise information. Strong customer service skills and effective organizational skills. Transferable skills such as team coordination, operational management, and customer interaction. Ability to work and lead in a fast-paced environment. Sound ability to multitask. Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner.

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Supervises all activities, responsibilities, and functions in their area of assigned responsibility while acting as a mentor to staff. Assists managers in the interviewing and selection process for new staff members. Monitors staff's compliance with all applicable laws and regulations as required by government agencies, other third-party payers, Joint Commission, and hospital policy. Ensures that the staff complies with departmental and hospital policies and procedures, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Communicates respectfully and appropriately with staff, patients, families, co-workers, physicians, and volunteers. Reviews time in Workday to ensure staff compliance to the Saint Francis Health System (SFHS) attendance and punctuality policy. Assists the manager with employee annual performance reviews and offers recommendations and valuable input to the process.

    Decision Making: Independent judgment in making decisions involving non-routine problems under general supervision.

    Working Relationships: Direct supervision of others. Prepares and gives performance evaluations. Works directly with patients and/or customers. Works with internal and/or external customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff.
