Job Description and Duties

This position is located in the city of Los Angeles.

Under the general direction of the Business Enterprises Program (BEP) Manager, (Supervisor II), the Supervisor I provides leadership in collaboration with the BEP Central Operations Manager, the Business Enterprises Consultant, and the Northern Field Manager to advance Southern Field Office functions and other related major projects within the BEP. Serves lead staff to complete advanced analysis of and identify solutions to mitigate program risks. The Supervisor I also facilitates cooperative relationships with BEP vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders in support of the BEP program. Using initiative, good judgment, and resourcefulness, the Supervisor I must analyze situations and resolve problems effectively. Ensures staff compliance with mandated statutes and regulations. Reviews and analyzes data for BEP locations to provide recommendations to management. Provides regular evaluations of field procedures and provides recommendations to management.

Under Government Code 14200, this position is a hybrid, in-office/telework position, and may be subject to change. Incumbents must live and work in California. Incumbent can be required to report to the office, or any designated location at any time. Telework agreements can be modified and/or cancelled at any time.

Working Conditions

The majority of the work will take place in one of the following locations with consumers, the public, colleagues, and other stakeholders: a DOR open office setting in a cubicle environment, offsite in the community, at events and various partner locations, and/or at an approved alternate work location. The incumbent must have the ability to work in an office setting for up to 40 hours per week and remain at a workstation for extended periods while utilizing a personal computer, peripherals, and other office equipment with or without accommodation. The incumbent will be working in an office setting with both natural and artificial lighting. Strong interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with consumers, the public, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
