Job Description and Duties

The Supervisor I oversees staff responsible for fiscal processes by developing, maintaining, and monitoring multiple internal funding tracking resources. Oversees the review and preparation of invoices, ensures accurate submission, logs and monitors the completion of payments resulting from all ADAP procurements, and guides staff in troubleshooting invoice issues by conducting research and presenting viable options to the Program Integrity and Operations (PIOS) Section Chief. Monitors staff billing to ensure these costs are recorded in alignment with established grant budgets and funding models. In addition, the Supervisor I coordinates the ADAP Branch's responses regarding payment issues and inquiries connected to the OA Support Branch. With assistance from the PIOS Section Chief, the Supervisor I supports the development and maintenance of guidance for the Branch to effectively administer fiscal operations. Works collaboratively with the managers and staff throughout OA, as well as CDPH administrative areas, and other federal, state, and local agencies.

In July 2025, the State of California implemented the Personal Leave Program (PLP) 2025. This program temporarily reduces employees' monthly base pay in exchange for paid leave credits. This position is subject to PLP 2025 and will have a monthly base pay reduction of 3% in exchange for 5 hours of leave credits through June 2027. Working Conditions

Telework Information

This position may be eligible for telework. The amount of telework permitted is at the discretion of the Department and is subject to change, consistent with CDPH's Telework Program. All employees who telework are required to be California residents in accordance with Government Code 14200. Candidates who reside outside of the state of California may be interviewed; however, the selected candidate must have a primary residency in the state of California prior to appointment (and continue to maintain California residency) as a condition of employment. Failure to meet this requirement may result in the job offer being rescinded.

Travel may be required for this position. Reimbursement for travel takes into consideration an employee's designated headquarters, as reflected in the duty statement, and is subject to regulations and bargaining unit contract provisions. The Office of AIDS (OA) is an office within the California Department of Public Health, Center for Infectious Diseases, Division of HIV, HCV, and STIs. The AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) Branch, within OA, helps ensure that people living with HIV/AIDS who are uninsured and under insured have access to medication on ADAP's formulary. Insurance premium payment programs within the ADAP Branch provides assistance designed to ensure access to medical care and treatment for people living with HIV/AIDS.
