Job Description and Duties

Are you looking to be part of a dynamic team that protects the environment? The California Department of Fish and Wildlife's (CDFW) Business Management Branch (BMB) is seeking a motivated individual to work as an Supervisor I in West Sacramento. Under the general direction of the Supervisor II, incumbent will perform a variety of tasks that include: directing, planning, and overseeing Department-wide tracking, inventory, and lifecycle management of CDFW assets, including property, facilities, equipment, and vehicles; supervising the daily operations of the mailroom, reproduction center, and warehouse services; ensuring timely and accurate processing, distribution, and delivery of incoming/outgoing mail, packages, and large shipments; developing and implementing policies and procedures; and providing direct supervision, leadership, and coaching to professional and support staff within the unit.

Personal Leave Program: Effective July 1, 2025, state employees are subject to temporary salary reductions ranging from 2% to 4.62% in exchange for Personal Leave Program (PLP) hours. Please note that the salary ranges listed in this Job Control may not reflect these reductions associated with the 2025 Personal Leave Program.

Working Conditions

This position is not eligible for telework. In-office work will be conducted in West Sacramento. Work hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Ability to use a computer keyboard several hours a day. Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods
