· Experience working with unionized employees and labor policies.
· Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a union environment.
· Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies and 5S principles.
Education
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.

Pay range : 30$/hr. - 32$/hr.
Position Summary: Responsible for achieving departmental goals related to safety, quality, delivery, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Supervises production, maintenance, and/or warehouse employees and serves as the primary liaison between the workforce and management.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead a production workforce to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency goals through Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.
· Supervise daily production, maintenance, and/or warehouse operations to ensure departmental objectives are met.
· Monitor production plans, troubleshoot operational issues, and ensure products meet established quality standards.
· Investigate, analyze, and resolve system, process, personnel, or equipment issues to improve performance and reduce costs.
· Establish a positive employee environment through communication, feedback, coaching, and leadership.
· Ensure employees have the necessary training, work instructions, tools, and resources to perform their jobs effectively.
· Monitor individual and team performance and take corrective action, including disciplinary measures when necessary.
· Administer employee policies, procedures, and work rules in accordance with company guidelines.
· Promote employee engagement and maintain effective communication across all levels.
· Lead safety initiatives, including safety communications, near-miss reporting, and ergonomic risk assessment activities.
· Partner with the Safety Team to enforce safety regulations and prevent workplace injuries.
· Support continuous improvement initiatives, including CI processes and 5S activities.
· Plan and coordinate maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime and asset utilization.
· Manage departmental operating costs and support budget targets.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Engineering, Supply Management, and Human Resources.
