Location: East Moline, IL

Work Setting: 100% Onsite

Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)

Pay Rate: $34.00 - $39.00 per hour

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Extension Potential: Yes, contract may be extended based on business needs and performance.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Supervisor II - Operations to lead production, warehouse, and operational teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives while supporting the daily operations of a manufacturing facility.

The ideal candidate will have experience supervising hourly employees in a manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse setting and possess strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead daily production, warehouse, or operational activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency objectives.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development to hourly team members.
• Monitor employee performance and address attendance, performance, and disciplinary matters as needed.
• Investigate and resolve operational, personnel, process, and quality issues.
• Promote and enforce safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Partner with maintenance and support teams to maximize equipment uptime and operational performance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, cost reduction, and process optimization.
• Ensure employees have the training, tools, and resources necessary to perform their responsibilities effectively.
• Monitor operational metrics and drive actions to achieve departmental goals.
• Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and employee engagement.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Supervisory experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, or production environment.
• Experience leading hourly employees and managing daily operations.
• Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to work a 1st shift schedule and support overtime and weekends as needed.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Two or more years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or process improvement initiatives.
• Experience managing productivity, quality, safety, and operational performance metrics.

Work Environment

This position is based in a large-scale manufacturing facility. Candidates should be comfortable working in an industrial environment that may include exposure to production equipment, forklifts, varying temperatures, noise, and active warehouse or manufacturing operations. Appropriate safety equipment and training will be provided.
