Job Description and Duties

Under the general direction of the Executive Director and the Deputy Executive Director, the Supervisor II is responsible for developing and overseeing the California Hub for Energy Efficiency Financing (CHEEF), marketed as the GoGreen Financing Programs.

The incumbent leads the GoGreen Home and GoGreen Business/Multifamily units working to facilitate the financing of energy efficiency and clean energy improvements for existing residential, business, and multifamily structures through program development, marketing, education, outreach, and compliance.

Department Information

The California Advanced Transportation and Alternative Energy Financing Authority (CAEATFA) is a small, and innovative organization, housed in the State Treasurer's Office, and focused on leveraging private capital to meet the state's greenhouse gas reduction and economic development goals. We have openings for analysts to work as part of the California Hub for Energy Efficiency Financing (CHEEF). The CHEEF is a public-private partnership that leverages private capital to help Californians make their homes and businesses more comfortable and energy efficient. We are building energy efficiency financing programs across multiple industry sectors and designing the first open-market, on-bill repayment program in the nation.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in Authority Board meeting administration.
  • Successful track record of navigating state administrative processes to accomplish goals, including personnel administration, the budget process, contracting, regulatory development, interagency agreements, accounting, and audits.
  • Demonstrated success with complex project management, oversight of multiple complex programs, delegation, assignment of resources, and communicating and coordinating with direct and indirect stakeholders.
  • Ability to produce high-quality deliverables under pressure, on short timeframes.
  • Strong track record of supervision and personnel management including hiring, staff retention, training, coaching, organization capacity building, and team leadership.
  • Ability to effectively represent and act on behalf of an entity in politically complex situations.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentations before elected and appointed decision-makers in the public and private sectors.
  • Demonstration of good judgement, initiative-taking, tact, diplomacy, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to quickly gain mastery of a new subject or industry
