McGraw Hill, the leading provider of digital and print educational resources, is looking for a Supervisor, Instructional Designer, K-5 ELA for our School division. As Supervisor, Instructional Designer, K-5 ELA, you will lead and mentor a team of Instructional Designers and Associate Instructional Designers, fostering collaboration with cross-functional teams including content, product management, UX, and creative media. You will oversee the development of innovative digital tools, curriculum, and learning solutions in various formats, ensuring alignment with product requirements and delivering impactful resources used by millions of educators and students.

This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States. This is a Project Status Worker (PSW) role with an end date of 06/30/2027.

What you will be doing:

  • Supervise a dynamic team of Instructional Designers and an extensive network of external vendors, ensuring alignment with project objectives and quality standards
  • Build bridges across teams and functions, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and innovation where new ideas flourish
  • Serve as a mentor, providing constructive feedback and guidance to nurture team growth and development
  • Foster an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are valued and trust and appreciation thrive
  • Drive talent management initiatives, including proactive growth and training plans to ensure current and future success
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to develop digital programs from inception to execution, leveraging cross-disciplinary expertise
  • Optimize resource allocation and manage operational initiatives for tactical delivery, informed by external perspectives and customer needs
  • Maintain strong relationships with senior leaders and colleagues, staying abreast of industry trends to inform strategic decisions and drive collective success

We're looking for someone with:

  • 5+ years in digital content development, including teaching and learning materials
  • Prior people management experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, or related field
  • Proficiency with authoring tools, LMS, and CMS platforms, with ability to create animated and interactive content
  • Experience with Agile methodology and iterative workflows
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects within tight deadlines and budgets
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • K-5 teaching experience a plus

The pay range for this position is between $82,100 - $85,000 annually. However, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
