SOPS-Sutter Outpatient Services - San FranciscoPosition Overview:
Oversees and directs the overall operation of inventory control, including staffing, work assignments of Supply Chain personnel, and managing established budgets. Establishes protocols to maintain accurate records of requests, monitors open orders for local resolution and analyzes levels of inventory based on volume. Builds professional relationships between Supply Chain staff and physicians, clinical staff, and other healthcare providers through competent job performance, and masterful communication. Delegates projects and tasks in conjunction with department managers/directors, clinicians and physicians to promote an efficient, cost effective Supply Chain system that meets the short and long term goals of Supply Chain and clinical departments. Demonstrates, leads by example and adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. Schedules and delegates highly-specialized tasks and/or articulates departmental responsibilities to visiting or new employees. May interact with vendors, special orders, and consignment when working with clinical leads. May act as a backup to the management staff. Recognizes and emulates best practices by implementing standard workflows/processes, while developing plans of action to implement changes.

5 years recent relevant experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Demonstrated success in major project coordination and implementation of successful cost containment initiatives is required
Proficiency in computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio is required. Must be able to synthesize data and create meaningful presentation.
Must be able to quickly grasp data provided in opportunity analyses and effectively secure feedback to the supplying source as to its quality
Knowledge of healthcare products and equipment, inventory sources, and alternative sources of supply, purchasing, and distribution systems, contract administration, and new or emerging trends in the industry are required.
Team leadership and organization skills are required
Proven ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to manage complex situations with a high degree of variation.
Must be able to successfully facilitate team meetings that may involve competing objectives
Ability to work and troubleshoot the following computer programs: EPIC, Microsoft Office, Kronos.

Pay Range is $44.34 to $66.51 / hour
The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
