RESPONSIBLE FOR: Planning, organizing, supervising line staff, implements policies and procedures, assesses training needs. Responsible for service delivery within departmental and statutory guidelines designed to enhance safety and security of both the youth and the community.
DUTIES INCLUDE: Promotes effective utilization of evidence-based practices and supports programming. Including but not limited to spending the majority of their shift on the floor, coaching, training and mentoring youth counselors, problem solving, participating in conflict resolution, facilitating and participating in focus groups and modeling appropriate interactions.
MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in management, public administration, criminal justice, or social services; one (1) or more years employed in Court Services, criminal justice, or social services; or bachelor's degree and two (2) or more years employed in court services, criminal justice or social services, one of which must be in juvenile detention/residential services.
