Responsibilities
On this role the Lab PAA/Phlebotomist Supervisor will perform the following job duties:
Delivers excellent patient centered service in a medical office setting by performing routine and advanced venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures.
Organizes and supervises the staff in the daily operation of the practice. Also responsible for resolving complaints, issues and patient relations.
Releases and/or places orders in electronic medical record and laboratory computer systems, receives, processes and distributes specimens and/or blood products and prepares samples for transport to other laboratories.
Responsible for answering telephones, checking-in patients and maintaining a comfortable wait experience for patients based on practice protocols and UF Health Physicians policies and procedures.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
High School graduate or equivalent.
Requires one year of recent phlebotomy experience (clinical or hospital based preferred).
In addition, one or more of the following is preferred:
Graduation from a certified health-related program at high school level or above; OR
Successful completion of Advanced Placement courses in the sciences at the high school level: OR
Successful completion of science based studies at college level (minimum 3 credit hours). Prefer GPA of 3.0 or above.
Must have computer operational skills using a personal computer, laboratory system or other hospital information system.
Applicant should display initiative, have the ability to multitask and be able to take on responsibilities.
Proven ability to problem-solve and be a team member is essential.
Must have excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
