Hours: Primary Shifts: 7am-3pm, 8am-4pm and 9am-5pm. Work location includes both Mount St. Mary's Lewiston and Lockport sites

Summary:

Primary responsibility for the technical supervision of laboratory personnel and maintenance of policies, procedures, and quality control practices with their respective departments. The Supervisor will act as liaison between the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Nursing and Medical staffs and assist in the consolidation and standardization of laboratory testing. Acting as the Quality Systems Manager for a specific site or area of responsibility, performs and documents QA activities as defined by Laboratory Administrative and Medical Leadership.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION

  • B.S. or B.A. degree in Medical Technology or related discipline
  • New York State Licensure required

EXPERIENCE

  • Six (6) years of clinical laboratory work experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills
  • Ability to work well in stressful situations
  • Ability to work with infectious material and/or hazardous material
  • Customer focused
